Hang Community Guidelines

1. Why these guidelines exist

Hang should be a place where people following a gluten-free diet can safely exchange practical experiences. These Guidelines apply to reviews, comments, threads, replies, photos, avatars, and shared travel plans. They supplement the Terms of Use.

2. Be accurate and relevant

• Describe your own experience or clearly identify information from another source.
• Do not present an assumption as confirmed fact or promise medical safety to others.
• Give useful context, such as visit date, discussion with staff, or a cross-contamination risk you observed.
• Correct or remove content if you learn that it is outdated or wrong.

3. Respect other people

Do not post hate speech, discrimination, or attacks based on origin, nationality, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, identity, disability, illness, age, or another protected characteristic.

Do not harass, demean, intimidate, or threaten others. Criticism of an experience or business may be firm, but it must not become a personal attack, coordinated harassment, or a call for retaliation.

4. No violence or dangerous content

Do not make credible threats, incite violence, praise harm, or provide instructions to carry it out. Content indicating an immediate risk to life or health may be urgently restricted and referred to the appropriate authorities where required by law or safety.

5. No sexual exploitation

Content depicting or promoting sexual exploitation, sexual violence, intimate material shared without consent, or any sexualisation of minors is prohibited. It may be removed without warning and reported to the appropriate organisations.

6. Privacy and other people’s rights

Do not expose private data such as a home address, phone number, identity document, medical information, or private correspondence without permission. Before sharing a photo, make sure you have the right to publish it and that it does not violate another person’s image or copyright rights.

7. No spam, fraud, or impersonation

Do not mass-post repetitive content, manipulate reviews or votes, offer false benefits, or solicit credentials. Do not impersonate another person, venue, organisation, or moderator. Sponsorship or a relationship with a venue must be disclosed clearly.

8. Illegal content and infringement

Do not use Hang to sell prohibited goods, organise crime, publish material without the necessary rights, or otherwise break the law. A rights-infringement report should identify the content and the basis for the report.

9. Reporting and blocking

If content or conduct violates these rules, use the in-App reporting feature. You can block a user to limit contact. If there is an immediate danger, contact local emergency services first; Hang is not an emergency service.

10. How moderation works

We consider content, context, severity, repetition, and risk of harm. We may limit reach or a feature, remove material, warn a user, suspend an account, or close it. A severe violation may result in action without prior warning.

Automated signals may help identify risk, while decisions can be reviewed in context. We do not publish safeguard details where disclosure would make evasion easier.

11. Versions and changes

The version number and effective date appear above. A material change may require a new explicit acceptance before publishing. The Polish and English versions are intended to express the same rules.
